Top Home Features Realtors Want, LCT Team - Parks, Franklin, TN

There are so many lists of must-have home features that we’re sharing our LCT Team- Parks list of favorites. See what you think!

An open concept, updated kitchen, fireplace and great locations are some of the top elements the LCT Team – Parks say makes a home very appealing. (Trace Construction Home, Realtor Lisa Culp Taylor previous listing.)

Top Home Features – Location

You’ve heard of location, location, location is a priority for retail and restaurant locations. Several LCT Team Realtors also think this is a big consideration when choosing a home.

And, location for a home means different things to each Realtor. For Realtor Maile Stover, it means being closer to her kids’ schools, shopping and parks.

“We actually came from a more rural setting which was a gorgeous spot backing up to the Harpeth River in Williamson County. Now, living in a beautiful tree-lined street in an established community and spending less time in the car commuting to activities has become more important to us,” she said.

For Realtor Lisa Culp Taylor, she likes being centrally located in the county making zipping to work, showing houses and spending time with family easier.

A home centrally located like this one, off Franklin Road, is an important home featured says Realtors Lisa Culp Taylor and Maile Stover. (Realtor Lisa Culp Taylor previous listing.)

The land surrounding the home also matter to this team. Realtor Amy Pappas wants the home located in a kid-friendly neighborhood which might include sidewalks, green space for playing and located near good schools – neighborhoods like Westhaven, The Grove or where she lives, Ladd Park.

Lisa, Maile and Amy also want a great yard for pets and kids to play.

Interior Home Features

When Realtor Meredith Zeller visits a home with a client, she always has her eye out for a great fireplace.

“A working fireplace is something I definitely have to have for my home. And no, wood-burning is way too much work for me! Give me a quick starting gas fireplace any day,” she says.

An updated kitchen and primary bathroom are areas Realtor Vickie Freas says are a priority.

“For me, I definitely think keeping your kitchen updated is very important as well as the primary bathroom, which I like to be very luxurious. Keep those areas current, and, when selling your home, I think a lot of things can be overlooked,” she advises.

This beautiful kitchen was recently updated by builder Trace Construction and the home sold by Realtor Lisa Culp Taylor.

Amy also says a big kitchen is a priority especially one with natural light! Realtor Ashlee Baker agrees on the kitchen but likes the open concept kitchen/living room. “Everyone spends the majority of their time there so I like it to be nice.”

A big laundry room is a priority for Realtor Megan Jones Campbell. “I tend to gravitate to that space when showing homes because I currently have a laundry closet! I definitely dream of having a big one someday,” she said.

Outdoor Living Areas

For Realtors Meredith Zeller and Marabeth Poole, outdoor living is a priority.

“I like a private lot and a great covered porch. We do have four very distinct seasons in the Nashville area and the covered porch helps you get the most of your outdoor living area,” says Meredith.

Marabeth agrees but her active family also likes a lot of backyard features. “We are a very outdoor loving, active family. I love a home with a great porch overlooking a pretty pool.”
